spend the more. I mean, I need to buy EVERYTHING from underwear to winter coats, including sweaters, shoes, shirts, pants, belts, etc. etc. etc. I am a man, okey, not a woman. And my problem is this, I´m on a limited budget so I can´t buy everything expensive. Nevertheless I want to buy some expensive high quality items. For example I think that some shirts are worth like a million-gazillion cause they are designer clothes but that you can find a similar one in the gap or some other store. The price will vary by hundreds of euros but the difference (aside the brand) will not really really be that much. But in some other clothing items it will. So I was wondering WHICH ARE THE ITEMS where puting in the extra money is really worth it. I make an analogy with food so you understand what I m saying. If you go to an upscale expensive supermarket and buy canned spinachs and you do the same in the less expensive discount supermarket you will pay A LOT MORE in the first one. But the quality will really be about the same. NEVERTHELESS if you do the same with fresh meat you will also pay a lot more in the first one but IT WILL BE WORTH IT, cause the quality of both meats will have no ressemblance whatsoever. So I was wondering in the world of fashion and clothes which are the meat and wich are the canned spinachs ? THX

Examples of brands would be: Ed Hardy, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Armani, Versace, Christian Audigier and the like. I'm looking at either real products at discount prices or amazing replica's cheap, however not the cheap shirts that say Gucci and Nike on the same shirt andthose are obviously fake. Thanks for you comments and suggestions!!

My mom recently quit her job at Juicy Couture, and i basically only have clothing from there. Now that she quit I'm assuming that she won't buy me as much Juicy as she used to, because she won't get a discount anymore. Can you list some affordable, cute designer brands? (I am a twelve year old, so try to list stores that are suitable for my age.) I really don't know any other places to go to other than Juicy, and abercrombie. Any ideas?

This is just a random idea that I had, and I was wondering how many people would find it useful. Problem: Most fashion stores have a certain "line" or "collection" that they keep on their website/instores for only a few months. After the line is no longer in season, excess stock from the stores will go to discount stores like TJ Maxx or Marshalls, where they get minimal exposure to buyers. If the garments are still not sold in discount stores, they end up in the trash/garbage. Months later, a lot of trashed excess stock often get similar remakes in the original stores-- isn't that a waste? So my idea was to convince designers/brands to put a call number or catalog number on every design they make, and then attach pictures of the garment to the catalog entry. The entries could then be compiled into an online database with a search engine. This way, there could be a organized way to track clothing, even when its sold out of stores or out of season. The entries can even be tagged with searchable keywords, colors, design features, "style", etc. This way, stores can make money off out-of-season clothing by allowing buyers an easy way to search through their old excess stock. This also opens up the clothing pool for buyers-- shoppers are no longer limited by what the stores have in stock. They can search the database for any article of clothing ever made, and trace down the garment either from the original store (if they have excess), or find a used garment with the catalog number. It would also minimize the waste that comes from throwing away unsold clothing and prevent the re-making of garments that have already been manufactured. I can also see a use for this type of cataloging in the used clothing market, like on eBay, or second-hand clothing stores, by allowing buyers to look for -specific- pieces of used clothing. Second-hand clothing stores could also use the database to keep exact stock of their clothes. Do you think this type of system would be useful or popular?

Recently my best friend and I have been considering moving in together, we're both turning 18 and it will be our first time away from home. We both have full time jobs and have known each other for over 4 years. I trust her and she's been with me through everything. HOWEVER. Lately (Maybe starting about 6 months ago.) She has been completely obsessed with anything "designer" or "nice looking" or anything with a huge price tag on it. She bought a 2,000 dollar furniture set for her room when she should be saving for an apartment. She is constantly buying brand new phones just for the sake of "upgrading" She even bought a 600 dollar 33mm camera, used it a few times and sold it on craigslist for 250, then went out and bought ANOTHER 600 dollar camera because the one she had wasn't good enough. It really bugs me to see her throwing money around like this and I tell her ways she can save up, (by buying her new phones on craigslist like I did, or by using coupons or shopping at discount stores) but it's like she feels things aren't good enough unless it has a big price tag on it. I was telling her about these dishes my mother gave me for our apartment, and she said "No, I really want to get one of those nice matching 50 dollar sets from Target." I'm afraid she's not going to let me have things in my own apartment unless they're designer/expensive/matching. ANYWAYS. Do you think I should still move in with her? I love her but when she acts this way I feel like she's being petty and immature. Or do you think it's me that's over-reacting? I mean, it's her money and she can spend it how she wants, but it still disturbs me. (jealousy is not and issue, I make more dollars an hour than she does.)

Hey everyone! I'm needing a little help coming up with ideas on how to attract more business and new customers to my shop during the Holiday season, as well as to make things fun for my current customers. I buy, sell and trade name brand and generally cute clothing, with the occasional designer labels. I also sell shoes, handbags, accessories, a little bit of makeup, and random pieces of art by local artists as well as a few DIY clothes. It is all unique, fun and affordable. We definitely cater to teen girls and young women and celebrate all the fabulousness of being a girl. I have made the entrance a lounge. This room contains the check out/front desk and makeup display. Near the checkout is a section that has accessories. It also has a couch, armchair, coffee table, TV, magazine rack and the occasional free cup of coffee and cookies. We actually have customers hang out from time to time. The next room has all the clothing and shoes sorted into different sizes/styles.Connected to this room is one that contains three small changing rooms and of course our back room/office. I have made the entire store have a comfortable, artsy, girly and non-cluttered feel to it. Now, if you have read all that then wow! Haha. What I really need are some great suggestions as to how I can attract new customers for the Holidays and make it fun for our loyal customers. So what should I do? Obviously flyers and discounts and fun decorations, but how can I go a step further? What would be fun for you?

I am looking for designer men's jeans like "seven for all man kind," "rock and republic," "true religion," "paper denim," "joe's jeans" at discount? * Is there any great sites where I can find great jeans at discount? *Also I know you ladies know what's popular when it comes to fashion but just wondering what brand is most popular this season and what I should go for as in jeans? I have a pair or "martin and osa" jeans they are straight leg, dark blue but not black, sand blasted fade on the top of the jeans above the knee but not to much and distressed wear around the pockets. Never really shopped there but I like there style its like "j-crew" meets "banana republic" its good! The jeans are great I just want a ladies sense of opinion? I got them on sale for $50 originally around $90, so I got them for a great price. Did I pick a pick a good pair of jeans? *Any suggestions?

My mom's birthday is coming up and her and my dad are going out to eat for dinner. I have been saving up to buy her the best gift ever so she can look her best that night. I have about $900. I wanted to buy her a designer dress with some matching shoes and some other accessories. Does anyone know where I can buy designer brand things like this at a discount and what designer brand should I be looking at where I don't have to spend much more than $900?

Designer imposture perfumes online! All i can find is discounted name brands, i want some really cheap knock offs of the real thing, where i can get 5 bottles or sprays and it wont put me in the poor house ya know? I like to take the designer imposture ones then wear it around for a bit and decide if i like it BEFORE i buy the pricy stuff. I tried a search for imposture perfumes on ebay and amazon, nothing! Your help is really appreciated thanks!! its not illegal, why do they sell it in stores then? Thanks for the 'answer'. . . LMAO PMAC, some of the designer imposture kinds are nasty but some smell even better than the pricey ones. . . :P

Like big brands like they talk about in the it girl books lmao things from bloomingdales but for CHEAP Where can I find some discount designers
07/05/2009 08:55 PM
All the websites I go to for Polo's or Button Down shirts , ALL the one's I want are available in every other size except XXL (2XL) . They ALL have XS , S, M AND L available , but they sell out of XXL . Then the stores or websites say that cannot order no more in that size , they have all these small sizes that they will discount the shirts at. Why don't these clothing brands make more of the sizes they sell out of which happens to be XXL ? Don't they want to make money ? And if a certain "design" of a shirt sells well , why discontinue it ? Don't designers make clothing to make money ? They can still come out with new designs , while keeping the obvious ones that sell still available . Is it easy to get clothes made ? I swear I would make a killing.

TK Maxx has been given the Royal thumbs-down after being deemed "not good enough" for London's Piccadilly Circus. The US clothes chain, which sells designer brands at reduced prices, signed a deal with property managers in February to move into the former Zavvi store in the popular tourist area. But the move has been blocked by freehold-owner Crown Estate, which runs the Queen's property portfolio. The store did not fit in with plans for a mecca for upmarket shoppers, according to Criterion Capital, which manages the site for leaseholder Golfrate. Criterion was infuriated by the decision, arguing that if the shop was good enough to attract Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton, it was good enough for Piccadilly. Marketing director Jane Tiney said: "The Crown Estate don't feel TK Maxx as a retailer is good enough for the Regent Street area. "They want to attract designer shops like Louis Vuitton but we think it's ludicrous, because TK Maxx actually stocks designer wares. "If it's good enough for Kate Middleton, why isn't it good enough for them?" The arrival of TK Maxx in the site, which has been vacant for years and costs more than a million pounds a year to rent, would create hundreds of jobs, she said. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20090424/tuk-queen-turns-nose-up-at-discount-chai-45dbed5.html One is simply not amused at the purchase of ones clothes from a discount store!! I always struggle to come up with gift ideas for my brother. What do you buy the man who has everything? I am opting along the lines of a nice designer t-shirt? or maybe even just gift vouchers if I can't find anything else. My price range is between £20-£30 and he likes brands like G-Star/Henleys etc. I realise that my price range might not perhaps stretch to any items of clothing from these brands, but does anyone know of any websites etc that offer discounted designer wear? Failing that, I might hit the high street and see what the likes of River Island and Burton have to offer. He tends to shop in these places along with Republic, Original Shoe, USC etc. Any suggestions? He is also a salesman, so dresses quite smartly for work, so even a nice pair of diamonte cufflinks etc would probably go down quite well.

I was on ebay today looking at different items in the health and beauty section. I was amazed to see "power seller" after "power seller" who seem to sell tens of things on ebay every single day. My question is this: Where do these people find the designer makeup and perfumes so cheap, that they can afford to sell these items at such a deep discount to others? BEFORE ANSWERING PLEASE READ BELOW!!! I am not talking about useless junk that you can find on the site. I know all about drop shippers and "cataloge services" that people use to sell knick knacks. I am talking about the designer makeup you see; like Estee Lauder firming cream that sells in the store for 85.00 a bottle, sold on ebay for 7.00, and the seller has 10 available. MAC, Clinique, Chanel, higher brands is what I am referring to. Not drug store stuff. Thanks for taking the time!

I have been wondering this for a few months now. I see ads all over the place where people are asking for designer wear such as Uggs boots, Coach handbags and Burberry scarves for as little as 20.00-50.00. Especially on places like Craigslist and Ebay. Yes, stores are having a lot of sales for the holidays and a lot of discounts are great on some designer wear but these name brands are still not cheap and I am just wondering does people think because they aren't making as much money as they used or have lost their jobs, the prices will come down. Sorry to say, they won't. I know we are in a recession right now but that is not the point. We went through the Great Depression for 12 years from 1929-1941 but Tiffany, Louis Vuitton, Prada Gucci and Fendi and such did not come down on their prices of that day and time so what make people think they are going to do so this go around. And we aren't even in a depression yet.

I have searched all over the internet for websites selling cheap designer clothing, so far I have come up with sites selling either replicas, fakes or authentics with pointless discounts. For example "CHEAP ARMANI JEANS DISCOUNTED FROM £200 TO £150!! Great one! thats still a big chunk of cash out your wallet for one item of clothing. Does anyone know of any hidden secrets, such as websites that sell authentic designer brands (Armani, Diesel, CK, D&G etc) at really cheap wholesale prices?? (probs not lol) But I wouldnt even mind perhaps replica products, if they are quite cheap, does anyone know any websites which sell replica designer clothes which are really good quality and a good price??? I dont want ones that look obviously fake though tbh lol. PLEAAASSSEEE HELP ME!!! CORRECTION: I can understand there would be pretty much nowhere you could get authentic designer clothing really cheap, otherwise everyone would buy it cheap. So.... does anyone know any good reliable websites which sell replica products of mens designer brands (Armani, D&G, A&F, Diesel etc) but good quality ones where you can almost not tell the difference at all?? The only one ive ever found was www.shoestrainers.com but they charge quite a hefty shipping charge. Please help! Thanks!

When I was in New York, Century 21 was the best place to shop for ties. They had great variety, a huge selection, many quality designers, and all at a good discount. Is there anything comparable online? So far I've seen cheap prices with limited selection and questionable quality, or else a selection of known brands that aren't very cheap, even after discount.

I want to start a business where I can buy multiple items, like designer items, but not big big designer items like Gucci etc. because I know they only sell to certian companies, but name brand things, for a wholesale discount, and then I can resell them online and in my hometown for a profit. Things like womens clothing and accessories. Does anyone have any information that could help me start this?

Alot of people tell me they find things online all the time. Like Juicy..Ed Hardy..etc.. for all low cheap prices. My luck being I never actually ask them the specific websites, but I know there are so many out there. Also, alot of them can be frauds, so.. does ANYONE have any good sites for me for this occasion?

Need to know of an online store that has designer handbags or purses at discount prices. Brands like Chanel, Prada, Burberry, etc. Thanks in advance!
